Ballet for adults has grown in popularity in Singapore amongst both teenagers and working adults. Be it as an outlet for creative expression or an engaging physical activity, there are many reasons for grownups to take adult ballet classes.

Beatrice Boey | Ballet Teacher, Fitness Instructor

Beatrice started dancing at the age of 5 and has over 14 years of teaching experience. She has completed her dance training under the Imperial Society of Teaching and Dancing (ISTD) with a Level 4 Diploma in Vocational Graded Examination for Advanced 2 Imperial Classical Ballet and Advanced 1 Modern Theatre.

She has experience teaching both ISTD and RAD ballet from Baby Ballet to Adult Ballet. Adopting a fitness aspect into her skills, she has also taught various Barre Fitness classes and cardio workouts at fitness studios. She has also choreographed performances for various school performances and company events. Beatrice has a huge love for dancing, and an even bigger love for sharing her passion of dance with her students!

Yern Ee | Dance Teacher

Yern Ee has been dancing since 2007. Starting in her school CCA, her strong passion for dance has driven her to complete the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Advance level and the Commonwealth Society of Teachers Dancing (CSTD) Elementary for ballet. Yern Ee has also taken jazz & contemporary CSTD syllabus. To further her career as a dance teacher, Yern Ee decided to pursue a full-time dance education at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) majoring in dance pedagogy.

In her years in NAFA, she has had the opportunity to perform for her senior’s final year project at Dancers@Work and at NAFA’s annual production, Crossings, working with Dr Siri Rama. She is also teaching at various MOE primary schools, choreographing for their internal school performances and preparing them for Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) judging. She has performed on major stages locally, such as the Asian Youth Games opening ceremony 2009 and Youth Olympics Games opening ceremony 2010 and NDP 2015, 2016
